I founded Walter McDonald &Associates, LLC, to provide a unique service to both corporate and not-for-profit clients. While I have been exposed to multiple firms of the highest caliber, I am convinced that there is a better way to provide services to leaders interested in working in an honest and mutually respectful fashion through a small, highly focused firm.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, I bring a solid, Midwestern work ethic to the searches that I lead. Those clients that would serve as references will validate my ability to quickly learn the culture of any organization and focus on finding the “right” candidates for the job. This is accomplished through working closely and collegially with the client and their team. A small firm allows me to limit the number of searches that I am working on at any one time -- which in turn gives me the time and resources to provide an outcome of the highest caliber.

While executive coaching has always been, and will continue to be, a part of my search practice, Walter McDonald & Associates also offers executive coaching as a separate service to a limited number of clients. This valuable management tool has been instrumental in assisting talented professionals in obtaining objective insights and self-assessment tools in order to grow professionally. This practice will compliment our primary search focus.
